Intierra was formed through the merger of three businesses – Intierra Ltd, Minmet Australia, and Mineral Information Maps.
Intierra was started in 2001 to bring together various classes of resource data and then spatially locate them. This data was then viewable via an online mapping interface.
Minmet was founded 25 years ago as Australia’s first mining and exploration database. It quickly became the industry benchmark as a comprehensive and reliable source of company and property information.
Mineral Information Maps was a Canadian business with a 20-year track record as a leading producer of global mining and exploration maps.
In 2003, Minmet merged with Intierra. Shortly afterwards, the merged entity acquired Mineral Information Maps.
Over the last few years, these businesses have combined to deliver a unique service which offers unparalleled intelligence on the global resource sector. This service delivers mining claims, geoscientific data and infrastructure together with comprehensive market announcements, plus company, property and people databases. This context-rich environment is delivered to clients through a range of mediums including a web-based database and mapping system, hard copy maps and customised data feeds.
Intierra serves the world’s leading mining and exploration companies, global banks, stockbrokers, fund managers, government agencies and service companies.
Today, Intierra has offices in Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada and the Philippines serviced by a professional team of senior geologists, researchers, software developers and spatial analysts.
